Historic bridges

In Michigan we don't have castles or many mountains in the lower peninsula - we have a couple of forts, a lot of cool old churches, and a ton of cool bridges and historic lighthouses.  Grand Rapids has several old bridges that cross the Grand River, and I take different ones now and again.  This cool old historic bridge is the Sixth Street Bridge.  You can see from the picture that there is one lane for vehicular travel, and a board walk on each side for pedestrian and cycle traffic, although there's probably no reason I can't cycle over on the vehicle lane.  This bridge is very  historic, like I said, and if you visit it, there is a historical marker explaining the bridges of the Grand River, and some nice picnic and park space.
